Some Background

I moved to Las Vegas from Texas in 2021. I purchased my home on South Cimarron February 14, 2023. When doing a walk-through before the purchase, I met Eric Albert Hardy. He said he was renovating his mansion. I looked forward to seeing what he would do to the large dilapidated structure. He seemed nice.

Later, I found out that his derelict mansion has been in major disrepair even prior to the date he purchased it at the beginning of 2017 (see code violations). As of October 2026, it still has not improved. According to the code violations, Eric told the officers that the mansion is in the “design stage”….. see the code violations page for proof!

This is a Residential Estates Zoned community. Eric’s constant unpermitted storage, earth movements, digging, dumping, and grading on the vacant lots next to him create an incredible amount of dust that has sickened me and my family members. My sister needed to go on prednisone due to the sickening amount of dust when she visited December 2023. She needed to be on multiple medications just to visit my home in August 2024 due dust in this neighborhood. This is documented and true. She did not need this amount of medication at our Spring Valley home. I’ve been and currently am being treated for medical issues due to these properties and their owners.

I have had to vacate our property at Cimarron due to the stress of living next to Marilyn Oehler’s parcel and her inability to keep her agent Eric Hardy from harassing me. He is constantly digging and dumping on her parcel which sickens me with dust and stress which created serious loss of enjoyment of my property. He behaves in an unstable manner i.e. cannot regulate his emotions in a mature way and put up banners that he owns firearms. The house is beautiful but dead is dead. I believe he lacks self control and is dangerous.

There are multiple issues with the parcels behind us in regard to health and safety, stress, and visual blight. Many of these issues are addressed in the Las Vegas city codes. In fact, the city of Las Vegas has had multiple complaints about these properties over the years; however, no lasting improvement has occurred. Some items such as the multiple conex (shipping) containers, dilapidated mansion, construction vehicles, have been noted but allowed for YEARS for some reason AGAINST CITY CODE. The people in the building department and code enforcement get paid too much (many in the 6 figure range) to be this ineffective at their jobs. In fact I believe the people in the building department are now retaliating against us due to the multiple valid complaints we’ve raised against these properties and their inability to enforce code.
